Valkyrie is a CYOA in Twine. As usual, the jump will be followed by non-spoilery comments; then if I have anything spoilery to say, there will be spoiler space. I don’t know that this had beta-testers, but because the Twine format makes it more difficult to test for that, I’m being a little lenient with the choice-based pieces.

IF Comp 2012: Last Minute (Ruderbager Doppelganger)
Last Minute is a CYOA in Twine, whose premise is that the author is desperately trying to finish an entry for the competition. (Yes, others have had this idea.) As usual, the jump will be followed by non-spoilery comments; then if I have anything spoilery to say, there will be spoiler space. I don’t know that this had beta-testers, but because the Twine format makes it more difficult to test for that, I’m being a little lenient with the choice-based pieces.

IF Comp 2012: The Lift (Colin Capurso)

IF Comp 2012: howling dogs (Porpentine)
howling dogs is a Twine-based CYOA concerning… I’m not sure quite what, but it involves repeated sessions with a virtual reality. Per tradition, I will put my spoiler-free comments after the jump, then spoiler space if there is anything spoilery to follow.
IF Comp 2012: Eurydice (Anonymous)
Eurydice is an Inform 7 game concerning the immediate aftermath of a friend’s death. Per tradition, I will put my spoiler-free comments after the jump, then spoiler space if there is anything spoilery to follow. As usual, the fact that I am reviewing Eurydice at all indicates that it does have listed beta testers.
IF Comp 2012: J’Dal (Ryan Kinsman)
J’Dal is a fantasy cave-crawl with a few non-standard features, written in Glulx. Per tradition, I will have some non-spoilery content after the jump; then if there’s anything spoilery I wish to discuss, it will be separated from the rest of the review with spoiler space. The fact that I am covering J’Dal at all means that it does feature listed beta-testers.
