Local Groups

I’ve added links for the Seattle and Boston area IF groups, both of which meet roughly monthly (sometimes more often) to discuss IF, share works in progress, and generally cheer one another on. Are there others out there that I should be mentioning?

[ETA: some discussion in comments about getting a Bay Area meet going.]

  1. I live/teach IF at two local universities in Omaha, NE. I’m trying to foster a (small) group centered around my students. Any tips or suggestions?

  3. Sounds like you have something approaching critical mass — generally what happens to get these things started is that someone starts a mailing list or similar venue to plan meetings, and then events are planned. So go for it, Bay Area IFers. (I’m not in town, so I can’t help you out there, but if you get something going I’d be happy to add it to my local groups list.)

    1. OK, we’re finally getting things started!

Our first meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, at 1pm. We’ll introduce ourselves, talk about what we’re playing and what we’re working on, and discuss our plans for world domination.

Venue TBD. (We need to figure out how many of us there will be and where we’ll meet.)

      Thanks!
