“Reconciling Mother” to follow.
I cannot say what this game is about, because I didn’t play far enough to find out. Implementation was extremely sketchy and I gave up after a few dozen turns; details follow the spoiler space.

I start the game with no particular direction or motivation. Things are inexplicably capitalized. I find a pendant, which I am told I cannot wear. I enter a tunnel and wander around in what seems to be a maze. Then I get this interaction:

But, er, I didn’t die! I’m not dead! I’m just in limbo. And the room descriptions are apparently crafted along the same principles as those in Detective. Do not put descriptions of one-time events into a static room description!
The game has lots of endings, winning and losing; the author appeared to be entirely unaware of finishGameMsg.
Yeah, I’m sure there’s much more to it than I saw, but I couldn’t really convince myself it was worth the time to go back and play any more.
I played this for about an hour and a half before giving up. Although I developed a somewhat better sense of what was going on, I still have no idea of what I was supposed to do to reach a successful ending.
Go west from the penultimate room, sadly enough. I actually think this one may share another trait with Detective in that it may be completable using nothing but directional commands.
You are correct:
W.W.N.U.N.N.N.N.D.W.W.W.E.D.E.U.W
Of course, that misses out on about 160 other rooms, dozens of items, and some really “out there” conversations and events. I’m thinking about writing a full, exploratory walkthrough for it. This is really a pretty huge game (it took me about five and a half hours to see what I think must be pretty close to all of it). It’s not a *good* game, sadly, but it’s sure as heck memorable.
I’ll be putting my review up soon. Maybe tomorrow morning.
